Danny Linwood Vick, 52, of Roanoke Rapids died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Danny was born in Chowan County, the son of the late Linwood Charlie Vick. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Hubert Earl Vick, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Helen V. Vick; his daughter, Danielle Vick; two granddaughters, Chloe and Tenley, all of Roanoke Rapids; his sister, Joyce Baird and her husband, Tommy, of Littleton; and his brother, Steve Vick and his wife, Dorothy, of Roanoke Rapids.

Memorial funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services, which is handling the arrangements, with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
